Future Trains

CRH-X Cobra, Future China Train
The increasingly cramped out roads in modern cities resulting from the rising number of vehicles has forced people to adopt other means of transportation that are not only safer to travel in but also help them reach their destination at a considerable speed. As a result, high speed trains come as a solution and are becoming popular with each passing day. China is also one of the countries facing the overcrowded roads and has already made a nice effort to get rid of it with CRH2-380A which has already broken the record of unmodified train with a speed of 486KPH. But Chinese are not to settle with this much and the next generation of high speed trains – with a speed of 500km/h – is under development. So, Gary Gu’s CRH-X Cobra Concept train is a design proposal for Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd, Tsinghua University and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The inspiration for the design comes from the shape of a cobra; hence the name, CRH-X Cobra.
